See yourself across the twelve palaces

Zi Wei Dou Shu divides life into twelve palaces: Life, Siblings, Spouse, Children, Wealth, Health, Travel, Friends, Career, Property, Fortune and Parents. Using your lunar birth year, month, day and hour, it places the fourteen main stars (such as Zi Wei and Tian Fu) and the auxiliary stars into those palaces. Which stars sit in a palace points to tendencies in that area of life; each ten-year Major Cycle (da xian) and each Annual cycle (liu nian) describes the focus of that period.

Stars are placed with the common method. The year changes on Lunar New Year (BaZi changes at the Start of Spring, so the two can differ by one year). In a leap month, days 1–15 count as that month and day 16 onward as the next. Births after 23:00 default to the next day's Zi hour; you can switch to the late Zi hour in advanced settings. Birth time is first converted back to the standard time of the birthplace (daylight saving removed). The result page flags birth years where Si Hua differs between schools (Geng, Ren, Wu) and birth times close to a double-hour boundary. It does not judge chart patterns (ge ju) or use flying-palace Si Hua.

Yes. Zi Wei Dou Shu fixes the Life Palace by birth hour, so a different hour gives a completely different chart. If you only know it was roughly morning or evening, pick the most likely hour. If you have no idea, view a BaZi (Four Pillars) chart instead; BaZi can still show three pillars without the hour.

Charting, the twelve-palace explanations, and Major and Annual cycles are free. Once you save a chart (it shares one set of data with BaZi), you can unlock Zi Wei reports with credits: 50 credits for the natal report, 30 credits each for the Career and wealth, Love and marriage, and Relationships and family reports, and 110 credits for the full set.
